Haverhill Public Schools has chosen School Device Coverage (SDC) to insure the devices that will be given to your student as part of this year’s 1:1 device program. For only $20 per student, this insurance program will protect you and your student(s) in the event that your device is lost, stolen, or damaged accidentally over the course of the school year.
What does it cost?
Cost of Insurance
Only $20 covers:
- All parts
- Damage / Loss* / Theft*
With unlimited claims and zero deductibles for the school year!
*Cases of Loss/Theft will require a police report within 5 days of incident
Replacement Cost Without Insurance
- Charger – $39
- LCD Screen – $80
- Top Cover (keyboard, trackpad, etc.) – $139
- Device Replacement (for loss or when damage to the device is unrepairable) – $199
What is the Claim Process?
Families are only responsible to pay for the optional insurance – Haverhill Public Schools will handle the claim process and device replacement! If your child’s device is damaged, lost, or stolen, the below procedure should be followed:
- Contact your teacher or the school
- The teacher/school will submit a Support Ticket to HPS Technology
- HPS Technology will provide a replacement device to the school
- HPS Technology will process the claim
