We heard from several families today with concerns about their child’s safety following the senseless tragedy that occurred last night in Lewiston, Maine. Please keep in mind that the Haverhill Schools and the Haverhill Police are constantly communicating about the safety of our students and staff. In addition to our School Resource Officers and Security Specialists, HPD has been proactive in monitoring our schools and will continue to monitor the schools with extra vigilance in the coming days. Additionally, each school has counseling staff to support any student feeling anxious or frightened. Please get in touch with your school if you think your child needs additional support.
