Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an important benefit to assist employees with the challenge of balancing their work and personal life. This benefit is automatically available (no enrollment is needed) to ALL employees – part-time employees and employees not enrolled in one of our health plans are eligible for the EAP .
The MIIA EAP is a 24 hour a day/7 day a week, free, confidential counseling and referral service designed to help you and your household members manage all aspects of your life. It offers professional short-term counseling, referrals, and resources.
Whether you want to:
· Become a better communicator
· Manage stress more effectively
· Find child or eldercare resources
· Develop better parenting skills
· Alleviate anxiety or depression
· Cope with a loss
· Handle debt
· Improve your relationship
The MIIA EAP will help point you in the right direction with:
Counseling Services – you and your household members receive up to 3 free counseling sessions per counseling matter, in person or by phone.
Legal Consultation – you and your household members receive a free 30 minute office or telephone consultation per legal matter (excluding job related issues) and a 25% discount off an attorney’s customary rate when additional services are requested.
Financial Consultation – you and your household members receive a free 30 minute telephonic consultation from a qualified in-house financial professional.
