Haverhill Public Schools offers 2 optional retirement savings plans. You can choose to enroll in one or both of the plans. You may enroll in the plan(s) and/or change your deferral amount or investment options at any time.

403(b) Plan – Administered by PenServ

Offers employees an opportunity to supplement their retirement program with salary deferrals contributed to a choice of annuity contracts or mutual fund products.  You have access to 14 investment providers.  The 2026 maximum contribution is $24,500 or $32,500 if you are over the age of 50.

Enrollment is a two-step process: PenServ-Enrollment-Guide

1. Establish an investment account with one of the 14 approved investment providers.

NOTE: Before enrolling in the Plan, you MUST first establish an account with one of the Providers listed in the Annual notice or PenServ enrollment guide. If a valid contract or account has not been received by PenServ prior to receipt of a salary deferral, the contribution will be returned. 

2. Log into PenServ to elect a deferral amount. Our Plan Access Code is chav0142.

Enrollment and all changes are done directly with PenServ or your chosen investment provider.

457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan – Administered by VOYA

A retirement savings plan that allows you to defer a portion of your current income and have it invested on a tax-deferred basis.  The 2024 maximum contribution is $23,000 or $30,500 if you are over 50.  VOYA 403-457 information booklet
