Cooler Weather is Here! We have included a chart that we use at HPS to help determine whether students are safe to be outside during recess. We always prefer students to take recess outside; however, student safety is our first concern. If the weather is raining (not forecasted rain or wet from recent rain) or within the caution/dangerous zone of the chart, we may cancel outside recess. Depending on the condition of the grounds, we may also opt for having outside recess on the hard top. New England offers many forms of weather change, including experiencing all types of weather in one day. Students should always dress appropriately for weather conditions, keeping the dress code in mind.
