National Junior Honor Society
Whittier Middle School is proud to be an official chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.
The National Junior Honor Society is a program that stresses the best qualities that we want
to see in our young people. It is an honor to be a member, but it is hard work.

National Junior Honor Society Membership
There are five components to the National Junior Honor Society. Students must show that they have participated in all five components. The components are:
- Scholarship - students must be a member of the John Greenleaf Whittier Middle School Honor Roll.
- Service - Students must participate in an individual service project approved by Mr. Francescone (our chapter advisor) and a school-wide service opportunity.
- Leadership, Citizenship and Character - These three components are displayed by an individuals behavior and involvement activities.
Students interested in applying the Whittier Middle School National Junior Honor Society, should contact Mr. Francescone. The application process for the 2007-2008 school has changed from last year. Please watch for information regarding the National Junior Honor Society membership.

Honoring Our Members

honoring their acceptance to our chapter.
Our 2008 Induction Ceremony will take place on
in March (a date to be determined).
