Substance Use Counseling/ STRONG Program

Indicators of Drug Use, Duration of Effects, and signs of Overdose
Please contact your building-based nurse for questions regarding substance abuse programming for Haverhill Public Schools.
The STRONG (Screen, Triage, Referral, Ongoing support, Navigation and Growth) Program:
A therapeutic resource for Haverhill Public School Students in grades 6-12, who are impacted by substance use. Services are offered in Nettle, Hunking, Consentino and Whittier Middle Schools, and Haverhill High School. These services are confidential and voluntary.*Students who are found in possession, or believed to be under the influence of drugs/alcohol, will be required to meet for counseling upon re-entry from suspension.
Students will be assessed using a series of screening tools administered to identify risk related to youth substance use.
