‘Run to Overcome’ supports St. James programs
A 5K run on Sunday morning, November 9, at 10 a.m. will benefit the St. James School TEACH and HALT programs. The run begins and ends at St. James School on Primrose Street.
In honor of Veterans Day, which is November 11, participants and those watching along the race route are encouraged to wear red, white and blue in honor of our nation’s veterans.
There will be live Irish music and plenty of food. Medals will be awarded to the top three place winners in the various age brackets. All proceeds will support the Haverhill Alternative School and the TEACH program.
The Haverhill Alternative School is the public education program that serves high school students who are unable to participate in classes at Haverhill High School. The Therapeutic Education Assessment Center of Haverhill (TEACH) program is a special education program for students through age 21 who require special intervention due to physical, cognitive and emotional issues.
