NARCAN placed in School Health Offices as part of emergency response plan for an opioid overdose

On Nov. 18th, 2015, every school building was provided with a dose of life saving nasal NARCAN, the antidote for an opioid overdose.  This program was implemented with the assistance of Haverhill Police Department and Trinity Ambulance.  Funds to purchase the NARCAN were donated by Summit Behavioral Health.  The Medical Directive allows the building nurse to administer this medication to any individual suspected of an opioid overdose.
