The Haverhill Public Schools offers benefits to permanent full-time employees working 20 or more hours per week. Eligible dependents include your spouse and your child(ren) to age 26. If enrolling spouse and/or child(ren) you will need to provide a copy of your marriage certificate and children’s birth certificate.
A variety of benefit options , from health insurance to a
403(b) retirement plan, are available. The health, dental and flexible spending account benefits are effective as of the first day of employment. The life and voluntary insurance benefits are effective the first day of the month following one month of service or underwriting. You have thirty days from your first day of employment to enroll in the benefits. Please contact Nina Torrisi, in the Benefits Department, within the first three days of your employment, to review the benefits and to enroll in or waive the insurance.
Benefit eligible employees are able to enroll in or make changes to their benefits as a new hire, upon a qualifying event (within 30 days of a marriage, divorce, birth, loss of coverage or gain access to coverage) and/or during the annual open enrollment period (normally held in May with a July 1st effective date).
