Sacred Hearts Food Pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:15 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. 6 Carleton Avenue, Bradford, MA Participants are asked to wait outside using social distancing in line while they wait to check in at the usual door facing the parking lot. Prepackaged bags of food may then be picked up at the next door. We are accepting new participants. Our Pastoral Center phone lines are open for calls and spiritual support 978-373-1281
All Saints Food Pantry – 120 Bellevue Ave, Haverhill continues to be open on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month from 10am to 12:00noon and on the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays of the month from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. We are set up in our parking lot, asking everyone to keep a safe distance from each other, and distributing prepackaged bags of groceries to each participant.
Open Heart Ministries– 217 Main Street Haverhil MA Distributing hot meals in to-go containers on Sundays from 2-3pm. Distribution is at the kitchen door in the back of First Baptist Church.
The Salvation Army 395 Main Street Haverhill MA, is doing a modified food pantry service with pre-packed boxes on Mon-Wed-Fri mornings from 9:30-11 am. New clients are welcome. Haverhill/Bradford/Groveland is our normal service area but we will make an exception during this time. They are serving bag lunches on Tues-Thurs-Fri at noon in place of our regular meal service. This is for anyone.
All St. Vincent de Paul Helplines have been closed due to the requirement that a home visit be made before disbursing funds. At this time, volunteers are not authorized to make home visits due to the state of emergency and quarantine restrictions.
The Liz Murphy Open Hand Pantry Closed until May 4th. Will reopen that day from 4-7pm. We service Haverhill/Bradford residents. We are located in the basement of the Unitarian Church at 16 Ashland Street. A picture ID with name and address is required. New Clients must bring proof of residency (Utility Bill, IRS Letter, SNAP Letter, Welfare Letter, Social Security Letter, etc). 978-372-0260.

WIC– At this time we are limiting the number of visits into our WIC offices. We are encouraging participants who currently have scheduled appointments to not come into the office, but stay at home and wait for us to call them with further instructions on how we will be able to help them obtain benefits. New applicants, and those who need to schedule an appointment, should not walk in, but call us and we will call them back. Thank you for your patience. MASKS Sewing Angels Project: are distributing through pantries and not doing any defined direct distribution . Pantries are on a very short list of essential services serving folks. We are directing people to pick up masks at designated food banks/ pantries and persons seeking masks do not have to be customers of the pantry. Lahey Emergency Services/Mobile Crisis- ( 978) 521-7777 Ongoing in-person evaluations at the AJH and LGH emergency rooms and continue to conduct mobile and in-office evaluations as determined by the outcome of the DPH COVID-19 screening tool protocol.
Beth Israel Lahey Behavioral Health Services – Outpatient Therapy, In-Home Therapy , In-Home Behavioral Services and Therapeutic Mentoring, is maintaining services via telephone with all current clients. They are not taking new clients at this time. UPDATE 4/1/20 *Not accepting new referrals at this time**.
Haverhill CSA is accepting and assigning referrals during this time. Like most, they have stopped home visiting, but can still engage and work with families via phone. Northeast Family Services- NFS is accepting new referrals. They have a short waitlist for IHT and IHBS, but are opening with new families using telehealth. So able to move our waitlist along. Family Services of Merrimack Valley: We have begun to offer telehealth services to our existing clients. We are not scheduling new intakes at this moment, but will maintain a list of referrals that need appointments immediately following this situation. END OF COVID 19 UPDATED SERVICES
Haverhill residents under the age of 18 years old employed in Massachusetts are required to have a work permit. Applications for work permits can be obtained at the M-wing office at Haverhill High School and at the School Department in City Hall, they can also be downloaded here: Youth Work Permit . Permits are issued at the same sites once the application is completed and necessary documents are secured.

You Forward Supports youth and young adults 16-25 experiencing mental health challenges. Staff is also available at Haverhill High School Family Resource Center during Thursday lunch periods.
