The District Parent Council established the Write Away!! contest in 1992 as a way to celebrate good writing by students in Haverhill Public Schools. Participation has grown from 500 entries to almost 3,000 last year! Our panel of judges will include parent volunteers, school personnel, community leaders and previous Write Away!! winners.

  

Your Writing may be fiction, nonfiction, or poetry - its up to you! While some classes will be writing their entries in school, you may also send your entry from home. Entries may be written especially for the contest, or you may select your best work from your writing portfolio. The writing must be your own work, not edited by your parents or teacher. Only one entry per student.
You will be competing with other students at your own grade level.
